The Black Stairs

Since my book launch had to be postponed for snow, I spent the time making this little video. Let me know what you think!

The rescheduled launch is January 8, 2019, at 7 pm at The Regulator Book Store in Durham, NC.

In the video, I read the book's first pages and include imagery that inspires me. The shot of the mountains is mine, taken in California's Trinity Alps. The formation is called the Three Sisters. The state's northern ranges are great sources for names: Bonanza King, Tangle Blue, the Yolla Bollys, Humbug Mountain, Castle Crags. These names definitely helped me find my way to The Black Stairs.

Here are a couple of shots that didn't fit into the video, but are definitely in the book. Inspiration comes when you least expect it -- or even when you do!
